Saturday 1st September saw the return of the boat fishing for the autumn for the H.A.S. The SW wind was near non existent and it was fairly overcast. The Evans Trophy competition is traditionally fished on a Saturday and for just 4 hours, 5 boats went out comprising 10 anglers taking part. Pickings were fairly slim but some decent fish were still caught by some, notably T. Morris with a Smooth hound at 9.20lbs with M. Pritchard and S. Mummery both bagging Skate over 8lbs each. Smaller hounds, skate, dogfish, dabs and whiting were also caught.
