Jubilee Cup 2nd round results

The weather was less than friendly for the nine anglers who turned out to fish the second round of the Heron Angling Society's beach Jubilee Cup on Sunday 23rd Sept with a howling Easterly wind and fairly hard rain too. The first leg was fished back in January and was won by M. Morris with 5 fish for 1.96lbs and he managed to work some magic with this one aswell. Whiting and dogfish were the order of the day with K. Grove also bagging a flounder.

Results as follows;
1st - M. Morris, 9 fish, 9.58lbs
2nd - G. Mummery, 3 fish, 3.12lbs
3rd - T. Morris, 1 fish, 1.58lbs
4th - K. Grove, 2 fish, 1.14lbs
5th - B. Morris, 2 fish,1.04lbs
6th - M. Bryant, 2 fish, 0.72lbs
7th - M. Turner, 1 fish, 0.54lbs

Overall standings (top three only) over both rounds;
1st - M. Morris, 14 fish, 11.54lbs
2nd - G. Mummery, 3 fish, 3.12lbs
3rd - B. Morris, 4 fish, 1.90lbs



Mick Morris with 6 doggies which won him the cup along with 3 whiting and a good haul in the first round too.
