Old rules boat comp results

The H.A.S. 'old rules' competition was fished on Sunday 16th September and saw 6 boats with 15 anglers rowing out from the clubhouse. With a 12mph SW wind, getting out wasn't too arduous for those doing the rowing but getting back was far from easy. However, all boats got back safely and within the allotted four hours of competition. With catches of whiting, dabs, eels, dogfish and flounders, most anglers weighed in but the fishing as a whole was fairly scratchy.

Results as follows;

1st- K. Morris, 13 fish, 6.52lbs
2nd- D. Perry, 7 fish, 3.98lbs
3rd- L. French, 5 fish, 2.48lbs (junior)
4th- T. Morris, 6 fish, 2.44lbs
5th- K. Grove, 2 fish, 1.60lbs
6th- B. French, 2 fish, 0.94lbs (junior)
