Iris Trophy boat comp results

Ten anglers set out for the Iris Trophy on Sunday 14th June 2015 in what can only be described as nearly perfect conditions with glass like seas.

Weights were good in the end, with the exception of two competitors failing to return to weigh in on time, only 1 angler brought back less than 20lbs of fish.

Skate were ever present with K. Wilton bagging the heavy fish prize with his fish of 8lbs 11.1oz, closely followed by P. Thornton's ray of 8lbs 4.2oz. Junior twins Bradley and Lewis Perry-French both did well also amongst the rays and dogs with Lewis also landing a great 3lbs 7oz bass and Bradley a starry smoothhound around the 5lbs mark.

T. Morris took a common hound that was about the 6lbs mark too but it was P. Thornton who took top spot in the end. Phil had four rays as well as dogfish, a whiting and well, see the picture below!!!
