Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November we held our annual beach festival. Saturday we had 12 anglers fish with 3 different fish caught, 1 flounder of 10oz, 1 whiting of 5oz and a dab of 4.4oz.
The water was calm and clear not what you would expect for mid November. Sunday was a similar day, we had 11 anglers this time. Most fish were caught near the last hours or so. Whiting coming through slowly in numbers, then we had one of our Juniors Charlie Turner reeling in a mackerel . Simon Stephenson brought to the scales numerous whiting and a codling. At the last knocking Phil Gower reeled in a 6lb 6.2oz Thornback Ray which was enough to secure him the top slot.
