The Heron had its 1st beach comp of the year on Sunday 29th January which saw 21 members fishing.
Whiting, rockling, dabs and a flounder were caught with 13 members weighing in their catches.
Notably, Kevin Morris weighed in a specimen dab at 12.5oz.

2nd- K.Morris, 4 fish for 1.36lb
3rd- D.Smith, 4 fish for 1.18lb
4th- M.Turner, 2 fish for 0.90lb
5th- B.Morris, 2 fish for 0.86lb
6th- M.Bryant, 2 fish for 0.76lb
7th- M.Pritchard, 3 fish for 0.74lb
8th- M.Dinley, 2 fish for 0.42lb
9th- S.Hudson, 1 fish for 0.26lb
9th- C.Rozee, 1 fish for 0.26lb
11th- P.Gower, 1 fish for 0.20lb
12th- J.Williamson, 1 fish for 0.14lb
12th- K.Grove, 1 fish for 0.14lb.
8 other members fished but failed to weigh in.
