The heron angling society had it's 2nd beach competition of the year last
Sunday (17th March),the Tamkin cup.
The competition also included a trophy challenge against the Greenhill Sea Angling Club
and was fished between cold harbour and Swalecliff.
20 members fished in total from both clubs and although most anglers caught,
only 4 managed to weigh in sizeable catches of dabs, whiting and a nice size blenny!
Results as follows;
1st - M. Morris, 3 fish for 0.98lbs (Heron)
2nd - R. Philips, 1 fish for 0.38lbs (G'hill)
3rd - A. Stewart, 1 fish for 0.30lbs(Heron)
4th - D. Smith, 1 fish for 0.28lbs(Heron)
Overall club winners; Heron with 1.56lbs.
Next competition is the boat accumulator on March 25th.
