The weather was scorching with very light SW winds and 5 anglers took part. There were reported catches of smooth hounds, dogfish, dabs, a whiting and even a Sole! However the sizeable Bass eluded most of us. T. Morris landed one just 500yds from the beach at Swalecliffe church and B. Morris had one from just outside the Spaniard buoy. Lugworm seemed to be the bait for them with the hounds preferring live shrimp and prawns.
Results as follows,
1st - B. Morris, 2.60lbs
2nd - T. Morris, 2.44lbs
