The Heron Angling Society had its annual Beach Accumulator Competition on Saturday 8th December with just 9 anglers bracing the cold evening. Conditions were good however, with flat calm seas and next to no wind. Following the rough day that was Friday, all were hopeful of a lucky codling but unfortunately it was not to be. Bags were minimal, with dabs being the main catch along with the staple whiting and a couple of rockling too.

2nd- T. Morris, 4 fish, 1.46lbs
3rd- B. Morris, 3 fish, 1.20lbs
4th- M. Morris, 2 fish, 0.74lbs
5th- K. Morris, 1fish, 0.56lbs
6th- P. Thornton, 1fish, 0.48lbs
7th- G. Mummery, 1 fish, 0.28lbs
