With bitingly cold Easterly winds it was good to see 11 anglers turn out for the Tamkin Cup beach competition.
With fishing taking place right up the flood to high water and largely in darkness, expectations were high for decent catches of flatties.
But unfortunately it was not to be, the comp was won with a single flounder of 11oz and only one other member weighed in with a rockling.
P. Thornton was 1st from the same lucky spot on the harbour arm that won him the last comp (again with a single flounder.... The same one we think!!) and K. Grove was second from reculver.
