Sunday 7th December saw 21 anglers take to the beach outside the club house for the Heron's annual Charsley competition.
Catches came in from the off and with any size fish counting the scales were in constant use for the four hours.
Usually lunch is served halfway through but with anglers as busy as they were, it was held off until the end of the event this year.
Whiting accounted for nearly all of the fish landed with a couple of decent dabs showing also. M. Morris found his stride early and never looked like being caught up, besting 2nd spot by nearly 5lbs. B. Perry-French had the best weight by a junior coming eighth with P. Morris topping the ladies in 10th.
Prizes were handed out for the top ten spots and all 21 anglers weighed in a catch.
