Ten anglers turned out for what looked as though it might be a good beach comp on Saturday 2nd April.
Fishing up to high water into darkness on a neap tide, rays were the main target for most.
The weather was reasonable with a light southerly wind although rain was an issue later on.
As it transpired the final result was very poor, in fact only 1 entrant weighed in a sizeable fish and won the event with his dogfish. Others reported small whiting and the only other talking point came to K. Morris who thought he had a sizeable dab but upon inspection at the weigh in it turned out to be a plaice!!
