12 Herons made the journey to Deal for the Jackson cup on Sunday 20th March.
There was a light Northerly wind but conditions were generally very good.
Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the fishing. Despite 11 of the 12 anglers weighing in, bags were very poor with just one or two fish a piece comprising dogfish, whiting, pouting and rockling.
L. Murray landed the biggest fish, just missing out on a specimen medal with a dogfish of 1lbs 15.6oz. Les also landed a second dog however and won the competition.
T. Sadik came in second place and was the only angler to bring back 3 fish whilst B. Morris came in third.
Unusually, 3 entrants shared 7th with identical weights!
