Seemingly the recent cold spell really has taken its toll on the shore fishing at Herne Bay as the 11 anglers taking part in this years Tamkin Cup for the Heron found out.
The competitors spread out from Studd Hill to Lane End, the Kings Hall and several Reculver marks. All bar one returned reporting barely a bite in the 4 hour event.
S. Stephenson took the honours in the end however, returning from the Kings Hall with a male thornback ray of 4lbs 13.6oz.
