Despite blazing sunshine on leaving the beach, most of the event was shrouded in fog with a light NE breeze.
On the whole, fishing was slow but some reasonable fish were still brought to the scales. A. Wood had the biggest of the day, a smooth-hound of 7lbs 7oz closely followed with one of 7lbs 2oz for B. Morris.
Also landed were skate, dogfish and dutifully returned bass.
Along with his hound, Andy won the event with 11 fish for 32lbs 3.2oz.
