Very blustery and difficult conditions greeted the 8 Heron’s taking to the shores for the 1st beach competition of the year, The Jubilee Cup 1st Round, on Sunday 27th January.
Usually this event is well attended but the 25mph WNW unsurprisingly seemed to put a fair few off. Nonetheless, a few brave souls took it on but seemingly the fish were staying home.
Lewis Perry-French reported the loss of a possible ray but that aside, just 3 rockling were weighed in, the heaviest falling to Tony Morris from Stud Hill for top spot.
