There was a light easterly breeze to take some of the heat off but the beaches were packed with people which is never conducive to the fishing.
Nonetheless 12 anglers took part with eels and flounders the order of the day.
results as follows;
1st- B. Morris, 1 fish, 1.18lb
2nd- T. Morris, 1 fish, 0.42lb
3rd- M. Morris, 1 fish, 0.38lb
The other 9 members failed to weigh in sizeable catches despite several reporting to have caught numbers of under-size bass.
B. Morris also earns a specimen medal for his flounder of 1.18lb
